Do You Know Running is the Surefiew way to Lose Weight?

February 3rd, 2012 Comments off

Running is one of the best ways to burn calories and a person can burn up to 275 calories per mile. This can add up to up to over 1000 calories burned per hour! Therefore, running to lose weight can be a great way to get back in shape. As a matter of fact, running burns more calories than any other exercise except for cross country skiing.

Not only does running work fabulously for weight loss, it also has many health benefits as well. It has been scientifically proven that by adding running or jogging to your daily work out regimen has anti-aging benefits and prevents a lot of the bone and muscle deterioration that happens with age. Since our bones grow weaker over the years, sedentary lifestyles can cause them to become brittle, but running to lose weight helps keep our bones strong, even in our older years.

Don’t forget about healthy diet!

If you are running to lose weight, you will need to burn more calories than you consume. You should also stick to a healthy eating plan that is full of complex carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables and lean proteins. Of course, you will need to eat enough calories to give you the energy to run, so this is not the time to start a calorie restrictive diet. But, if you eat a balance, healthy diet, you will be able to lose weight effectively.

Starting out slowly is the key to your successful weight-loss program.

Running to lose weight does not have to be difficult either. By starting off slowly and increasing your distance and speed over a period of time, you can safely start a running or jogging routine without a big risk of injuring yourself. You may want to start out slowly on a treadmill until you become comfortable enough with your technique to begin running on a track on an outside area.

Don’t worry if you gain weight at the beginning.

It is important to remember that you may actually gain weight when you first start running to lose weight. This is completely normal, so there is no need for concern. Running will cause your body to build lean muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it may make the scales go up in numbers. However, you will notice that your body will start to tighten and, even though you have gained weight, you will notice that your clothes will start fitting looser than before.

By starting out slowly, perfecting your technique, and increasing your distance and speed over time, you can drastically reduce your risk of injury. Once you have conditioned your body enough, start running at a faster speed. The faster you run, the quicker you will burn fat and lose weight. Do not forget to eat right when you are running to lose weight. Food is energy, so it is imperative that you eat enough calories to sustain your exercise program. Lastly, do not forget to have fun. It may take a little time to get your routine down, but stick with it and you can lose weight, get healthy and have fun!

February 1st, 2012 Comments off

A new diet that is healthy and rich in nutrients can do wonders for you, provided you are patient and stick to the diet without binging on junk food every now and then. It will also take months for the effects of the diet to show, but it will change the way you feel and look in the long run adding years to your lifespan if you have been indulging in a lot of junk food so far.

New Diet Plan for an individual differs according to the type of body, their weight & height . Like if anybody wants to lose the weight then he should take low carb Diet. It is common to find that any diet less than 50-60% carb ratio is called a low carb diet. Some low carbohydrates diets are: Anabolic diet, The New Atkins Diet Plan, Anne Collins Low Carb Diet, South Beach Diet , Zone Diet , Rosedale Diet, Ketogenic Diet and Weight Watchers diet. Low-carbohydrate diets or low-carb diets are dietary programs that restrict carbohydrate consumption usually for weight control or for the treatment of obesity. Foods high in digestible carbohydrates like bread, pasta are limited or replaced with foods containing a higher percentage of proteins and fats.

On the other hand if anyone is underweight then new diet must include proteins in the form of fish, lean meat, legumes, whole grains, pulses, fruits and vegetables, milk and milk products, unflavored yoghurt and eggs which provides you with some of the essential minerals and vitamins to supplement your diet. If your body mass index is normal, your new diet is likely to keep you trim and healthy.

A balanced diet comprising of diverse and healthy foods is key to promoting good health. Research continues to prove that eating healthy food promotes good health and unhealthy food habits lead to a diseased body. Foods contain vital nutrients that aid our body’s metabolic function. So, new diet plan is must to keep the body fit & healthy.

A traditional diet also comes under new diet plan. Traditional diets include more organic farming and seasonal food according to food origins. Traditional diets vary with availability of local resources, such as fish in coastal towns, eels and eggs in estuary settlements, or squash, corn and beans in farming towns, as well as with cultural and religious customs and taboos.

New diet plan is necessary because it also helps you to continue to lose weight and avoid gaining excess weight. It also helps to avoid side effects and complications. You will graduate from liquid to solid foods progressively. When you progress to solid food, it will be automatically difficult for you to eat too much, because you will feel satisfied after eating very small meals. Over a period of time the stomach will stretch a bit more to accommodate more food. So, this is the plan to overcome the problems related to fat and weight without spending so much money. New diet is a website where you can know more about the diet program.

Dickinson Diet - 1950s or 1960s Medium
This was found in a recipe book of my in-laws. It’s a diet plan created by a Dr. C. R. Dickinson of Coffeyville, Kansas, sometime in the 1950s or 1960s. The categorization of vegetables is pretty distinctive: I haven’t seen a diet that did that before, but it shouldn’t be hard to track down sources.
