lose weight diet plan: An eat every other day diet

July 29th, 2012 Comments off

Eat Every Other Day Diet Weight Loss Diet Plan?
It is funny how I have often thought of this myself on many occasions, what if I could just fast every other day and then eat normally every other day? You see, my biggest bugaboo with diets are the fact that you have to radically change the way you love to eat to a way you absolutely hate to eat. So you tolerate this new hateful way of eating because you are losing weight.

The truth is that even if you can gut it out until you have achieved your weight goals, what then? Keep eating this rotten hateful way the rest of your life? I think not. So there you go sliding back to your old fat self—sigh! This is definitely not a good lose weight diet plan. A good lose weight diet plan would some how let you eat the way you love and still you’d lose weight. That is why I was thinking of an eat every other day diet, lose weight diet plan!

It sounded good until I Tried it. Wow, it is hard to fast every other day. Then I ran across the Eat-Stop-Diet that just had me fasting for two 24 hour periods a week. That was better until I went back to work. Then that didn’t work either–hello old fat self. I needed to rethink my lose weight diet plan.

EODD to the rescue

When I first saw Jon’s title, Every Other Day Diet (EODD for short.) I wasn’t impressed. Been there and done that! Jon’s answer was, “no you haven’t” He went on to explain the differences the EODD lose weight diet plan had with the intermittent fasting lose weight diet plan that I’d been trying. First of all the EODD lose weight diet plan didn’t have you actually fasting at all. In place of the fasting was a lean protein diet. This lose weight diet plan was looking better already. “Look”, Jon explained, “I have put 4 different levels into my lose weight diet plan and on the fastest level you can lose up to 21 pounds in 21 days!” Now I was interested.

The EODD lose weight diet plan
Like my lose weight diet plan the EODD lose weight diet plan lets you tuck into the great foods you love to eat, but unlike my lose weight diet plan the EODD lose weight diet plan doesn’t have you fasting. Instead you are eating lean protein on the burn days.

“Look, Jon”, I said, “What can I eat on my “feed days?” He replied, “Today I went for some New York-style pizza here in Austin, Texas. Do I feel ‘guilty’? No way… in fact tomorrow I will feel LEANER. What the what? I had to set up my body for this bit of metabolic trickery of course. You cannot just “eat pizza” and shed the pounds… I wish you could! But my personal System for fat loss not only “allows” pizza (and all my other favorite foods)… it DEMANDS that I eat it.

I’ll try your lose weight diet plan
I guess that was all I needed to here, this lose weight diet plan seemed doable for me. Yes, I still had to work at it, exercise and stay committed and all that stuff, but all that stuff was much easier on the EODD lose weight diet plan. Sure the EODD lose weight diet plan my not be for you and some other lose weight diet plan is, but I would check the EODD lose weight diet plan out at least since there is a 60 day money back guarantee. Now excuse me while I take my second slice of pizza.

How To Stick To Your Healthy Eating Plan

July 25th, 2012 Comments off

Starting a healthy eating plan of sorts may look easy at the start, but wait till you drop by the grocery or pass through the local fast food joint. Once the temptation to binge sets in, you could be in for a tough mental battle. However, once you get in the swing of things, and conveniently settle in your healthy meal plan, things will certainly get much easier. Here’s how to faithfully adhere to your healthy eating plan.

Write Your Plan In Paper

Start by writing your healthy eating plan on a piece of paper. However, writing it down on paper is so different from having lots of tasty but fattening food in front of you. To formalize your eating plan, grab a meal planning guide from your dietitian, or get a free meal planning guide from health and wellness sites online.

A Healthy Eating Plan Isn’t Hard, Provided You Don’t Fall Into A Trap

Finding healthy foods, and crafting a healthy eating plan with the help of your dietitian or doctor can be done, as long as you steer clear of the many traps that most people get into. The key to sticking to your healthy eating routine lies in ensuring that you eat foods that are good for you, until it becomes a habit, and is ingrained into your system. To ensure your success, let your friends and family or your co-workers know about your plan, and ask them to check in with you once in a while. It helps if you constantly get positive encouragement from your loved ones, as well a sin knowing that they will truly hold you accountable if you fail.

Try New Recipes

To make your healthy eating experience an enjoyable and interesting one, try a new vegetable recipe, salad or fruit juice mix, that you’ve never had before. However, don’t just discard the old favorites yet, because if you can’t live without having your fill of bacon and French fries, then don’t ease them out of your menu yet. Enjoy the usual stuff for like once a week or once every two weeks, and make a constant effort to eat healthy food for the rest of the day. The main idea here is that you don’t have to live without your favorite food items, but you need not eat them all the time.

Healthy eating can be summed up to say that you eat only the foods that contribute to good health. Eliminate the foods that contain empty calories, as well as the food items that contain lots of chemicals, food additives, monosodium glutamate (MSG) and preservatives. Remember to only eat foods that have natural and wholesome ingredients, which include fresh fruits and vegetables.

Slim Fast Diet Plan To Lose Weight Quickly

July 17th, 2012 Comments off

A slim fast diet plan is what most dieters are looking for. We obviously want to change the way we look and feel about ourselves, but most of us do not want to wait forever to see the results we so desperately want to see. The good news is that there are ways to shed the pounds quickly without killing ourselves with hours of exercise and cutting calories to unsustainable amounts.

It is important to remember that one pound equals 3500 calories. Therefore, to lose one pound on a slim fast diet plan, you must somehow expel 3500 calories from your body, either by diet or by physical activity, or a combination of both. By making small changes in your daily routine, you can easily cut 250-500 calories out of your diet without even noticing that they are even missing. Here are a few ideas of easy ways to cut calories from your diet each day:

* Cutting just one can of soda per day equals 150 calories saved. If you drink a lot of soda, this can mean huge calorie savings throughout a day!
* Drinking regular coffee with low-cal sweetener instead of a late saves up to 400 calories.
* Eat meals on a salad plate. You will automatically eat about 15% less than eating on a larger plate.
* Eat Fruit instead of chocolate. The average candy bar has around 150 calories. Substitute a piece of fruit to satisfy that sweet tooth and save 100 calories.

Add a little more activity to your slim fast diet plan and your calories burned can really add up, too. You do not have to work out for hours per day at a gym to see results. By making simple changes in your daily routine can add up at the end of the week:

* Stand while you work for just two hours per day and burn an extra 100 calories.
* Mowing the lawn for just fifteen minutes will also burn an extra 100 calories.
* Vacuuming will not only make your house cleaner, but will burn 100 calories per half hour!
* Other housework will burn about 100 calories per twenty minutes of cleaning.
* Finding a parking spot that is a five minute walk from the door can burn up to 100 extra calories per day if you walk to and from your car just three times!
* Take the stairs for just 15 minutes per day instead of the elevator and calories will melt away!

As you can see, with just a little bit of effort, you can easily delete 250-500 calories per day. It does not take a lot of planning and effort to lose weight on a slim fast diet plan. If you have the desire to lose the weight and get healthy, you will find ways to make better food choices and to fit physical activity into your everyday life. By tweaking your activity level and eating habits ever so slightly, you can quickly lose one to two pounds per week! This type of slim fast diet plan is excellent for people who do not have time to spend their days worrying about what they are going to eat and when they are going to find time for the gym.

Healthy Eating Tips for Children

July 9th, 2012 Comments off

It is ashamed that more parents do not encourage healthy eating for kids. Although many of us were raised with the idea that everyone should eat healthy, many of us sadly fail to actually do so. Instead we embrace the world of fast food, soft drinks, and countless other processed foods that can be eaten on the go. One of the main reasons we all choose these unhealthy foods is because they taste good. However, plenty of healthy foods taste good as well. You just have to give them a shot in order to see. If you are not sure you want to put in the effort, just consider what you would be doing for your kids. Don’t you want them to grow up healthy and live long lives? This is a given!
It is not difficult to get started employing healthy eating for kids in your home. The key is to get them started early on. This way it is what they know. If you eat healthy, you set the ultimate example for the children. Sadly if you fail to eat healthy foods, then your kids may not take you seriously. This means they will probably not want to eat healthy fruits, vegetables and whole grains either. So if you can, instill healthy eating habits into them at an early age. It will make it much easier to keep them eating healthy in the future. These first years are a crucial time in their lives. Think about this when you are feeding your children each day. You are molding them to some degree.
What should you eat? Well, if you are striving to get healthy eating habits for kids started in your home, here are some foods you should move toward. All fresh fruits and vegetables are recommended. The reality is you should be consuming six to eight servings of these each day. Wow! Most people do not do this, but try and eat as many as you can. Healthy eating for kids also involves whole grains like whole wheat bread and rice. Oatmeal makes a wonderful breakfast food for kids. Avoid white breads that break down as refined sugars in your body. They provide minimal energy and get started as fat. You don’t want this, since it will lead to major weight gain over time.
Fast food should be a rare treat! Although the majority of Americans consume fast food twice daily, you should really refrain from eating these unhealthy foods altogether. If you love fast food, try to only eat it about once each month. This way your body has a chance to rejuvenate and heal. If you are considering healthy eating for kids, you should certainly steer clear of fast foods. As for beverages, the primary drinks your kid should embrace are water, low-fat milk and real fruit juices. Soft drinks are horrible for you body, as are many fake juice products out there these days.

Lose Weight Fast Diets — Does that exist?

June 21st, 2012 Comments off

Lose weight fast diets are all over television channels, internet sites, news stands, radio airwaves, and anywhere else they can possible be seen or heard advertised. These diets are big business in America. Why are these diets such a huge influence over our lives? Well, statistics are showing that almost 60% of Americans are now in the over weight to obese spectrum. People are desperate to lose the extra weight and these lose weight fast diets promise quick weight loss.

Some of these diets promote unsafe eating habits, which do nothing but set the dieter up for failure. But some of the popular lose weight fast diets are based on sound diet advice and can actually be a healthy and fast way to lose weight. As long as the main principles behind the diet are healthy eating habits and they promote exercise along with better eating habits, the diet will work for most. Remember that cutting out whole food groups or cutting calories to dangerous levels will only force your body into starvation mode, causing more harm than good to your metabolism and health in general.

The types of diets that you should be looking for when considering lose weight fast diets, are diets that promote healthy eating. If the diet does not sound safe, it probably isn’t. You probably already know that yo-yo dieting can ruin your health and actually stall weight loss. Make sure that the diet you are looking to try includes healthy food choices, adequate calories per day, and plenty of fruits and vegetables to make sure your body is getting all of the vitamins, minerals and fiber that it needs to function properly.

Diets that promote at least 1,000 calories or more per day for women and 1,600 per day for men should be avoided at all costs. These diets (dubbed fad diets) can cause more harm to your body than good and will stall your metabolism causing your weight loss efforts to fail.

It is important to remember also that exercise is a very important part of any weight loss program. Exercise is just as important as calorie restriction when you are trying to lose weight. This is why it is imperative when you are looking at lose weight fast diets to try, that the diet incorporates at least 20 minutes of exercise in addition to a healthy meal plan. Exercising does not have to consume your entire day, every day. There are simple ways to fit in your daily exercise and a diet that promotes this fact is sure to be a sound diet that is worth trying.

Whatever diet you decide to choose, remember that your health is always at stake. A diet that could potentially cause your health to fail in the future is not a diet worth trying. However, a diet program that promotes a healthy lifestyle and long term diet changes can literally be a life saver. No matter what diet plan you decide to try, remember that only you can change your life.
