Epileptic Kids Have More Psychiatric Symptoms

Children with epilepsy are at increased risk of having psychiatric problems than other children, with girls more likely to exhibit symptoms linked to depression and anxiety and boys more likely to have symptoms of ADHD and difficulty getting along with peers, new research suggests.

Low Vitamin D Levels Seen in Parkinson’s Patients

A study of newly diagnosed patients with Parkinson’s disease found a high prevalence of vitamin D insufficiency, but vitamin D levels did not continue to decline as the disease progressed.
